About Vanessa

Vanessa is a passionate fashion graduate. She has studied fashion design at Doncaster college and the University of Lincoln as well as completing a foundation art degree. Vanessa believes there is a real connection between art and fashion. From the designers imagining how fabrics will form on the body to the consumer inventing their own style of wear.

Vanessa's real drive is to inform consumers of the easy and ethical choices which need to be made to create a more ethical future. This goal is achieved through the platform of garments. Specifically by zero waste patterns and adopting a minimalistic look ideal for a capsule wardrobe.

Bawn Textiles

Bawn Textiles is Glasgow based, selling ethically produced and sourced fabrics. Bevan is a friendly and approachable person who is very passionate about giving home sewers and businesses the chance to manufacture with more ethical options. I chose Bawn Textiles to supply me with fabrics as they stock pieces that are more luxury and well-made and guarantee their range to be certified by various organisations including GOTS. This allows me to manufacture products which you will want to invest in and treasure.

Szandsz

Szandsz is a new platform for purchasing ethical fabric. The uniqueness of the brand is that the fabrics are dyed naturally, causing considerably less harm to the environment. The natural dye process and small batches creates fabrics with minor changes to the shading or depth of colour. This means, the trousers made from fabric supplied by Sandy, will be special to you.

Organic Textile Company

Organic Textile Company, situated in Wales, is somewhere I have been purchasing from for a little over a year now. They are transparent by talking about how the company came to be and where their fabrics are sourced. They have amazing connections with the manufacturer of their fabrics which are produced in India. Organic Textile Company provide me with the staple fabrics everyone is familiar with, as well as them being ethical and durable.

Anchor 1

Each supplier is carefully chosen to source the best fabrics. Thinking of the quality, longevity, and you in mind. The suppliers have also been chosen as they're local (UK based), cutting down on air pollution and supporting small, local businesses at the same time.

Better Packaging Company

Here is a company who have managed to create a new and ethical way of packing your parcels. The design is simple and so is their brand goal; create a more ethical world. Their packaging can be used more than once, however if it does need to be disposed of, put it in the ground and soon enough it will start the composting cycle.

Be sure to keep this in mind when purchasing from us.

We are also apart of the #betterfriends community.
